Famtorship for Social Justice Program
Application for the Famtorship for Social Justice Program are open for the 2018-19 academic year. Below is more information, please share with your graduate students so they can apply to be famtors/mentors/femtors.
Are you an underrepresented University of Utah graduate student that identifies as either first-generation, low-income, student of color, undocumented/DACAmented, and LGBTQIA*? Would you like to become an impactful famtor and support underrepresented students in navigating the university system, preparing for grad school, or preparing professionally for the workforce?
If so, apply now and become a Famtor for the 2018-19 academic year. The Famtorship for Social Justice Program is designed to create a space were famtors can share their experiences and support mentees in developing skills that allow them to be transformative and impactful leaders at and beyond the University of Utah.
The Program Requirements Include:
- Attend Mentorship Orientation (August or September)
- Connect with Famtor Monthly (via email, phone/text, skype/video chat, or in person)
- Submit Mentoring Activity Worksheet (Fall & Spring)
- Attend Famtorship Social Event (Fall & Spring)
